🕋 Maximising Our Obedience
As we approach the end of the Islamic calendar, let's strive to increase our devotion to Allah. Dhul Hijjah brings immense opportunities for reward and spiritual growth.
- ✓Fasting & Arafah
Try to fast the first 9 days of Dhul Hijjah, if not, then at least Arafah day as it's extremely virtuous. (Arafah day is equivalent to 10,000 days). Also Allah forgives many on this day. - ✓Animal Sacrifice
The son of Ādam does not carry out on Yawmun-Naḥr (10th Dhul-Ḥijjah) a deed more beloved to Allāh than the animal sacrifice. It (i.e. the sacrificed animal) shall come on the Day of Judgement with its horns, hair and hooves (to be weighed). The sacrifice is accepted by Allāh before the blood reaches the ground. Therefore, sacrifice with an open and happy heart.’ - ✓Takbeer-e-Tashriq
Pray the takbeer e tashriq. (Allahu Akbar allahu Akbar, laa ilaaha illallhu....). We should endeavour to pray all Saalah with congregation and on time. - ✓Gratitude & Obedience
Show gratitude on Eid day by following Allah's commands and thanking Him for His blessings.
📖 The Lesson of Dhul Hijjah
The main lesson we learn from Dhul Hijjah is to sacrifice our own desires to fulfill the rights of Allah and His creation. The same way Allah becomes pleased with us for doing Qurbani, He becomes even more pleased when we prioritise His will over our own.
Please read the booklet below for more beneficial points on making the most of these blessed days.
